What Happened Last Week

We had a wonderful beginning of session 2 – lots of new friends and then a special visitor to open our 2014 JCC Maccabi Games®. President Obama really came a few blocks away from the J but we had our own President Obama! From the opening to an exciting tug-of-war (we have never seen a rope break before!) to some crazy games, we had great fun and it was only day 1. The 2nd day had dancing, singing, swimming, soccer, treasure hunts and more. The day ended with the Red Team winning but we know we are all winners!

Direct from the Director:

What is it about camp that is so special? It is more than the activities – it is the bond between kids and staff and the tradition. Maccabi is competition but it is more than that – it is a way we learn to work together and take leadership roles and also learn to follow. It is about being a part of a team and then at the end coming back together and know that you are part of something bigger – the special Camp Chai Community! Thank you for being a part of our family!
