Happy Monday morning,

After a night of travel, TTC has arrived in Memphis. We enjoyed a breakfast of delicious pastry provided by one of our awesome parents. We are now at the Memphis zoo, which is one of the top five zoos in the US. Stay tuned, many more adventures to come!

Monday:

Here we are!! Memphis, Tennessee!!!
After driving around a little we went to “Memphis Zoo” and got to pet the sting rays, it was tons of fun!!!
Later in the afternoon we got to discover Beale street. Walking with the blues makes us hungry so we went to dinner at “Kooky Canuck”. Campers were waiting for a surprise and then the waitresses came in with a HUGE platter of ice cream and sprinkles! We were really full so we went back to the J to shower and go to sleep. What an exciting day!

Tuesday:

After a long Monday of fun things to do we got up early in the morning ready for breakfast and changing . We loaded the bus and were so wiped that we all went to Starbucks!!! After Starbucks we went to help out at Shelby farms for community service . Half the teens chopped branches for mulch and half hiked and collected trash. After community revive we visited Sun Studios where Elvis was discovered! We got to sit in the actual studio where Elvis and people like U2 and Johnny Cash recorded their music. After that we took a nice bus ride to mud island were we bonded together and walked around a museum. After that we went to a delicious place called Incredible Pizza where Erma ate like 12 pieces of pizza and we all played games and ate tons of food!!!

Boy was that a long ride! On Saturday, June 21, the Dallas TTC took off and began their exciting adventure to Louisiana and Florida! In Louisiana, TeenTravel Campers got to explore the French Quarter and shop in the various stores they had, eat at the world – famous Cafe Du Monde, where they ate Beignets and sipped on hot chocolate, go on a river boat tour of the swampy side of New Orleans and meet a few gators, and go on a thrilling tour of the HAUNTED areas of New Orleans! The stories that were told were pretty scary! Today, they are driving to Cocoa Beach and later tonight are going to visit Downtown Disney. TTC has had a good time so far. GET ON THE BUS WITH US!!! ; )
